Trump Impeachment Trial: The Battle Over Witnesses Reaches Tipping Point
The battle over whether witnesses should testify at President Donald Trump's impeachment trial is at fever pitch and it's getting more brutal as this phase of the trial nears its end. Democrats are demanding witnesses be allowed to share their information directly with the Senate on matters members might need more information or clarification on. Chief Justice John Roberts has not yet ruled on whether witness testimony will be allowed in Trump's impeachment trial. But Leid Stories asks: Should witnesses arbitrarily be barred from testifying in a trial--particularly a trial concerning crimes allegedly committed by the president of the United States?
