A Coronavirus Q&A: How are we dealing with this health emergency that now poses a major threat in many parts of the world?
Black votes saved Joe Biden's campaign. Why?
The Dems so far aren't offering much in the way of quality candidates, even though the re-election of Donald Trump is a real possibility. Are they serious?

In The Face of A Real Threat, Trump Dodges the Ball and Gives It to Mikey
Trump passes to VP Mike Pence the U.S. Coronavirus portfolio, leaving little doubt that the president and his administration are misguided about the raging global crisis and the very real threat it poses to all Americans.

Last night's Democratic presidential "debate" in South Carolina was a hard-to-watch (or listen to) intra-party slugfest that seriously damaged the candidates' political viability, their party's brand, and supporters' expectations.
There is no easy way to bounce back, but there should be ample evidence by now that party officials understand they have a serious matter on their hands and, on the cusp of Super Tuesday and political activities related to the 2020 presidential election, are dealing with it.
Leid Stories discusses the far-reaching effect, if any, that yesterday's ugly spectacle at the "debate" in South Carolina is likely to have.

Yes, there'll be another Democratic presidential "debate" in South Carolina tonight, which will include candidates who didn't appear in Nevada or who were only recently cleared to participate in South Carolina.
For many, tonight will be the second time in a week that they're squaring off against adversaries, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll do better.
It's the final faceoff before the state's primary on Feb. 29, and before Super Tuesday, March 3, when 14 states and one territory officially kick off voting in the 2020 presidential race.
By then, would the candidates and the contest change what it means to be a Democrat?

It's showtime in Las Vegas tonight as Republican-turned-Democrat Michael Bloomberg makes his much-anticipated debut in the Democrats' 2020 presidential beauty contest.
Bloomberg will be facing off against former vice president Joe Biden, an early favorite now trying to bounce back from from near-lethal "gut punches;" former South Bend, Ind., mayor Pete Buttigieg, running a tight race against Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who almost stopped him in Iowa; Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, a moderate enjoying a small burst of support but far from winning; and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a progressive whose promising campaign has suffered some major setbacks.
What do you think voters would be most interested in hearing the candidates' positions on? What issues do you expect will dominate tonight's Q&A session?

Leid Stories yesterday shared a riveting keynote speech by civil-rights activist, the Rev. Dr. William Barber II, at what was called an "emergency" convening i. Washington, D.C. of the Congressional Black Caucus and partnering organizations.
For Barber, his speech was "a call to action," especially to black leadership, to realize the full potential of black political power while forging coalitions with other communities to maximize independent power. Current conditions demand these responses, Barber said.
Needless to say, they are tall orders, but does that mean that Barber's "call to action" is implausible?
