Here's what we're talking about today on Leid Stories.
>> A Glynn County. Georgia, grand jury yesterday named in an indictment three white men who now formally face charges of chasing and killing Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old black man who was jogging through their neighborhood on Feb. 23.
Greg McMichael and his son Travis face malice murder and felony murder charges, as does a third man, William Bryan, who joined the chase.
But even before a trial begins, a major piece of the case is missing, says Leid Stories.
>> Heading into the home stretch of the presidential election, which way are you leaning so far?
Do you think Joe Biden will pull off a stunning upset, or will Donald Trump call the White House home for four more years?
Or, you don't care either way.
What supports your position?

Why Does the 'American Way of Life Elude So Many?
If you get a good education then get a good job and work hard, it's all but guaranteed that you'll have a good life. It's "the American Way."
But then you look around and you see that so many others not nearly as smart as you, or as hardworking as you, are enjoying great prosperity. You start to wonder: "What is his/her secret? What does he/she know that I don't? Why don't/can't I have that kind of life?"
Leid Stories looks at some of the reasons the "American way of life" eludes so many.

Recent social, political and economic developments in the United States might encourage some to think we're witnessing something of a rebirth of the people-powered, people-centered civil-rights mass movements of the 1960s. But looking objectively at the situation, we can see how oversimplified such a conclusion would be.
Are we in fact moving forward on a people's agenda? Is this what we want? How do we make it happen?

t's Juneteenth, A Great Day to Free Our Minds About Where We Are and Where We're Headed As A Nation
The Don of Hate, his campaign faltering after several major setbacks, this weekend will keep the faith with the angry, disheartened remnants of the confederacy yearning for a return to white-supremacist "values-based" leadership.
Trump will stage a political/ideological/racial homecoming at a much-hyped, coronavirus-be damned rally in Tulsa, Okla., tomorrow.
On June 1, 1921 and lasting almost a month, white mobs relentlessly attacked Greenwood, a well-to-do black section of Tulsa, after rumors swirled through the city that a black man had sexually assaulted a white woman in an elevator.
The unconfirmed report triggered an explosion of violence by whites. More than 300 blacks were killed and more than 30 blocks of their homes, churches and businesses were reduced to ashes with incendiary devices dropped from airplanes. No one was ever arrested, tried or convicted of any crimes, and blacks who were buried in mass graves have not yet been identified.
Trump is hoping that his rally in Tulsa will be the dog whistle that white supremacists all over America will identify with.
Let's hear your views on this today, or on any other subject worthy of discussion and debate. It is, after all, "Free Your Mind Friday."

The times are fraught with chaos and contention, pulling us psychologically in this direction and that, and challenging us almost daily to react, to decide, to align/realign/not align at all with views and actions that are not our own. How do we decide?
Listeners discuss how they acquired their political capital and how they use it.

The people demand systemic change NOW, even as they continue their protests across the nation against social, political and economic oppression, and systemic racism--the centuries-old pillars of organized American life.
But many leaders are playing both sides. They espouse solidarity with popular action, but they're not openly supporting their constituents.
