In 54 days, the nation will elect a president. It could mean the re-election of Donald Trump, a Republican seeking a second term, or the election of Trump's main opponent, Joe Biden, who had served as vice president to President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017.
The winning candidate will usher in a new administration, even if -- as could be the case with Trump -- it continues from where the old one left off.
But what will the people's expectations be, given where things stand now? Whether Trump or Biden, what will they want from a new president?

Biden Is Losing Energy, Momentum, Time and Direction
Two months before the Nov. 3 general election, Democrat Joe Biden is sending out the worst possible signals -- he seems tired, out of ideas and real challenges to Trump, and eager to have Election 2020 over and gone with. Not at all an inspiration to voters. What's the matter with Biden?

We put the finishing touches on yesterday's discussion about the Republican National Convention, which closes today in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Reviewing some of the major events leading up to and occurring during the RNC, did President Donald Trump orchestrate a coup, seizing leadership and control of the GOP -- and doing so without much opposition?
Does Trump see the Republican Party as a perfect addition to his diverse and strategic collection of real estate properties and business enterprises?

R.I.P., GOP! Has Trump Pulled A Bloodless Coup?
When the Republican National Convention closes on Aug. 27 in Charlotte, N.C., President Donald Trump and several of his minions will probably retreat to a closed-off, private room way down the hall and break out the champagne (ginger beer for him?).
They've done it, they'll tell each other. They've pulled it off. The party they hijacked is about to be rebranded and born again.
A too-far-out-there scenario?We'll discuss.
