It's "Free Your Mind Friday" on Leid Stories.
What's "Free Your Mind Friday?" It's when we switch from our regular format and become an open forum for callers to express their views on a topic or issue about which they have a strong--and well reasoned-- opinion.
People may agree or disagree with a person's point of view. That's OK. But we want to hear how well the presenter argues his/her own point of view.

Here's what's on Leid Stories today:
The jury is hearing the case against three white men charged with chasing down and killing 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery, who they saw jogging through their Satilla Shores neighborhood in Brunswick, Georgia,on Feb. 23 last year and thought he looked "suspicious."
The men--Gregory McMichael, 65; his son Travis, 34; and William Bryon, 52-- faced nine counts each at trial--including for malice murder; felony murder (four counts); aggravated assault (two counts); false imprisonment; and criminal intent to commit false imprisonment.
The question today:
Only one person on the 12-member jury is black. Could this affect deliberations amd/or the outcome of the trial?

Here's what we're talking about on Leid Stories today.
Defense lawyers for three white men charged with killing Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old black man they saw jogging through their neighborhood and deemed suspicious, are expected to complete their closing arguments, signaling the case may soon head to the jury.
But the strength of their lawyers' arguments appears shaky.
Was the killing of Arbery a deliberate, racially motivated attack, or was it the unintended consequence of the actions of an overreaching group of men who saw themselves as community guardians eager to make a citizen's arrest?
