Another national election soon will end the way such elections have ended for decades -- as a contest between the Republican and Democratic parties for political control at the federal, state and local levels. Essentially, it's a political shutout, with little or no participation by any other party -- the way it's been for decades, suggesting voters like and want it that way. So, why the fuss when it turns out that at election time it rarely gets more complicated than choosing between Tweedledee and Tweedledum?
Why do voters continue to have such poor and limited choices?
